Summary:   Decided last minute to go on a local chase.   Storms fired near Denver and moved east.   We started out in Bennett and started heading north to intercept storms that were firing near I-76 but a storm popped up near Byers and went TOR warned, so we did a U turn and headed back to intercept that.   The storm never looked very impressive and had a pretty high base.   We stayed ahead of it to Deer Trail and then we went north from there to Hwy 36 and then East to Last Chance.   The storms were basically lining out so we opted out and headed for home from there.   Here are a couple of decent shots I took along the way.
