Location: Near Hutchinson, KS

Summary:  Left Denver with initial target of Kit Carson CO.   Todays set up was a little different.   The big target was clearly down near Dodge City, KS, but I chose to stick with the smaller risk because I knew most of the chasers would be near DDC.   Torn Watch went up near DDC in the afternoon and I started to second guess myself.   After about an hour, and low dew pts, cool temps and 2nd guessing, I started out toward the east hoping storms would fire later in the Torn Watch.   Wrong answer.   Missed a really big show.   What really sucked was that when I got to Dighton KS a huge storm fired exactly where I sat for most of the day and had a huge meso on the radar.   It was torn warned for over an hour.   I settled for some really great lightning shots near Hutchinson, KS.
