Date: 23 May 2002

Location: Texas Panhandle in Lipscomb County and near Pampa.

Chase Partner: Lou Rohrbacher

Summary:  Started out near Slapout, OK and when after initiation began relocated to near Lipscomb, TX where we just missed a landspout tornado by only a matter of a few minutes.   Ran into Tim Samaras and Brad Carter along the way and hooked up with them via the HAM radio.    They were watching on radar a huge storm that formed near Borger, TX and we intercepted one of the most sculptured supercell thunderstorms I am sure that I will ever witness.

Special thanks goes to Tim Samaras and Brad Carter for letting us join along on the Pampa storm.
